fun in the offing...
My sister has put out an SOS to The Flying Auntie Serivce, so I'm off to have some fun with my younger niece. Here she is mowing the garden for us whilst visiting last year. Note that she has stolen Uncle Graham's hat.

Ha ha! My daughter is 16 and it is vital to have a shower and wash your hair before you go out apparently, even if you are going swimming!!!!! Have fun!

this is a Friday, 11pm update. So far the only getting muddy has been courtesy of my sis, who suddenly realised that she simply HAD to plant out her bedding plants now, THIS INSTANT, at 9.45pm. So there we were weeding tubs, whilst running to and fro to keep the two garden security lights on...
On the agenda tomorrow, niece has left me a note asking if I can "help me to nate [knit] a wrist band" and she's going to have her hair braided. We're planning to lunch in a Chinese restaurant (another shared passion!) and then do some walking.
I remember from doing Duke of Edinburgh's Award that some of the girls got up at 5.30am to put their make up on, despite the fact that we'd be hiking in the heat all day and no one was going to see them anyway!
