hyperbolic flowers

I think the staff at the rather lovely Rice Boat must have thought I'd gone mad last week, when I spied this wonderful vase of flowers


and got down on my hands and knees to take cloes-up photos


of these flowers, which just beg to be immortalised in crochet!


Anyone any idea what species they are?

Wonderful flowers, and you are right about the crochet possibilities. They seem just perfect for that.

this is a common flower from Southern Asia, nick named : "Chicken(cock) crown" because the folds resemble that of the red crown on top of a cocks crown. Swann Jie
